What it's Worth - Price Range Information
Just Sold on eBay Motors
The Just Sold on eBay Motors price range represents the lowest and highest completed sale price for this vehicle on eBay Motors within the last 90 days.
Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The range represents asking prices that typically occur for the vehicle model throughout the United States, not all vehicles sell for the exact same price, which is why the company also offers a value range. By showing both the low and high ends of the range the company can better reflect whether a given vehicle's asking price varies widely or hardly at all. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the vehicle's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions. This range includes pricing for used vehicles, not new or late model vehicles.

1973 Porsche 911: Vintage Porsche 911's are an amazing investment!

Want to invest in a car that will always gonup in value? Try buying a vintage pre 1974 911. The golden rule is find a car with no rust is the 1st rule. All issues can be fixed rust is the killer. If you can find a rust free 911 to restore you can rest asured that you will have a real winner. I've been buying early 911's on eBay and have found some really rare and pricless items along the way. eBay has been my favorite method of finding those barn finds and has made real money along the way. You can really have alot of fun driving these resly 911's and the folks you meet along the way will be some of the kindest people you will ever meet. So keep serching and you will fond the car of your dreams if you search long enough. Just remember no rust and the rest will all fall into place. Kindest Regards, Telefunken Motorsports

The best thing that you can ever do when looking to purchase a Porsche is to go and put your hands on the vehicle and your posterior in the driver's seat. After the drive have a PORSCHE mechanic check it out. This car is a perfect example of someone (the seller) slightly misrepresenting the car. On the surface the car appears to be great but there is more rust on the car than mentioned, especially in the front suspension area (this is a major repair). The owner's explanation was that they couldn't get under it to see it. (USE A MIRROR) When the car would not remain running the owner said that they did not know what the problem was - maybe a tune up? (Lesson: Porsches have a cold start fuel distributor 'think of it as a choke' to get the car started. Then the main fuel distributor takes over. This car needs one of the $800 main fuel distributors) You don't know this if you do not know Porsches. I am an experienced Porsche buyer and part owner in a Porsche Only Repair Facility that has been in business for 46 years! Personally I am very happy with this transaction as this ends up being a rare transition car and is worht what I paid for it. But for most people like many of the "I-want-2-B-a-Porsche-Owner" you would BE IN LOVE WITH THE CAR ON PICKUP AND THEN WHEN THE REPAIR BILLS CAME IN VERY DISAPPOINTED. If you are buying a Porsche and don't know anything about them the STAY AWAY from an Ebay purchase of one unless you get it completely checked out!!!!!!!! PORSCHES ARE VERY EXPENSIVE CARS TO OWN AND MAINTAIN. I OWN 9 SO I SHOULD KNOW. This particular car will take another $10,000 minimum to make it a reliable road worthy car. That makes the purchase + shipping + repairs over $26,000 for this car.

1969 Porsche 911: First of the "long hood," long wheel base iconic 911s

The 1969 911 was the first 911 with a longer wheelbase than the early, 1965-1968, SWB (short wheel base) Porsche 911.

In its day, it was a top performing sports car and today is highly desirable as an example of the "early 911." In the pecking order of early (pre-1974 "big bumper cars) the 2.0 liter 911 (for 911, 911E and 911S) ranks at the bottom of the heap, but still excellent. Next in line are the 2.2 liter 1970 and 1971 cars. Finally, 1972 and 1973 2.4 liter cars are the ultimate development of these early models with the 1972 model, with its unique oil filler door very special and slightly more desirable than the 1973 without the oil filler door and with the larger, for the U.S., front and rear "bumperettes." These 1973 protuberances are easy to back date to the 1972 smaller ones.
