What it's Worth - Price Range Information
Just Sold on eBay Motors
The Just Sold on eBay Motors price range represents the lowest and highest completed sale price for this vehicle on eBay Motors within the last 90 days.
Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value Range
The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value assumes that the vehicle has been fully reconditioned and has a clean title history. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The range represents asking prices that typically occur for the vehicle model throughout the United States, not all vehicles sell for the exact same price, which is why the company also offers a value range. By showing both the low and high ends of the range the company can better reflect whether a given vehicle's asking price varies widely or hardly at all. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the vehicle's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions. This range includes pricing for used vehicles, not new or late model vehicles.

The best thing that you can ever do when looking to purchase a Porsche is to go and put your hands on the vehicle and your posterior in the driver's seat. After the drive have a PORSCHE mechanic check it out. This car is a perfect example of someone (the seller) misrepresenting the car. The just painted auto with a paintjob that looks great from 10 feet only looks good at 10 feet in a crappy megapixel camera and on Ebay. It is a good thing that the only thing that I wanted out of the car was the mechanicals which still need to be gone through. I am an experienced Porsche buyer who got what he paid for but if you were like many want-2-B-a-Porsche-Owner you would have been taken and very disappointed. If you are buying a Porsche and don't know anything about them the STAY AWAY from an Ebay purchase of one unless you get it completely checked out!!!!!!!!

SELLER DECIDED NOT TO SELL ME THE CAR, I NEVER HAD A CHANCE TO SEE THE CAR PHYSICALLY. I WAS ON MY WAY TO INSPECT, PAY & PICK THE CAR UP WHEN SELLER SAID THE DEAL IS OFF

HAVE NO IDEA WHY OR WHAT MIGHT HAVE PROVOKED THIS SUDDEN CHANGE

THANKYOU

I like the slant nose, sunroof, the red color and black wheels.
The interior is in great shape espsicially for a 1980 car.
Mechanically also in excellent condition.
These lightweight 911's are so fun to drive!

I like older cars with manual transmissions because you have to learn how to drive the car properly instead of having a new car that seems to drive for you. I also like to buy cars that are unique so that I don't see myself coming and going every day. This vehicle is a 1983 gray market Porsche 930 Slant Nose, one of 38 built in that year. These ROW (rest of world) cars could be ordered in virtually any color and this one came in ruby red. My research showed that all Porsche 930S' made for the U.S. market came in either black, white or red.

This car appeared to be particularly well maintained by its three prior owners. It had only 28,000 miles on the odometer, has its original paint, and the pictures posted by the seller (showing virtually every possible view of the vehicle)showed a well sorted out car. It came with updated rims and tires as well as with the original BBS rims (with tires) from the Special Wishes Program.

I firmly believe that in order to minimize post purchase dissonance that you have to communicate with the seller in order to take any future questions off the table prior to the sale. The gentleman selling the car was quick on answering my emails and provided me with his phone numbers in case I had things that I wanted to discuss with him directly. All three cars that I have purchased on Ebay were through sellers who were willing to communicate with me on all my concerns. And each of these purchases have gone off without a hitch.

The lines on this car are extraordinary, the color is deep and vibrant and the engine gives you all you could possible ask for and more. The car is in such good shape that I'm going to have to force myself to drive it instead of keeping it garaged and protected. After all, what good is having such a beautiful machine if you can't take it out and really enjoy what it is made for?
I plan on driving it at least once a week to run errands and keep it properly lubricated. Since I have three other cars, they will all get at least the same attention. This car, with a few cosmetic upgrades, would be good enough to show at Porsche events.

All-in-all I am thrilled with this purchase. It came in better condition than I expected and I feel responsible to make it even better. It's a pleasure just to sit and look at it. And as my wife would say, it's better to have a mechanical mistress then to chase some young thing across the street.
